What is the problem exactly?

Current development efforts are not significantly reaching people living in the most extreme poverty. While this is being ignored, we as an industry can’t create a better international ecosystem.

How do we solve it?

First, we look the problem in the eye. We see pain and despair without easy answers. We see opportunity for improvement through innovation. We commit to focus here, and we start by identifying social enterprise that’s already working. We scale what works, and we incubate and implement new social enterprise where we see a gap or an opportunity.

Responsiveness is key.

We are implementers focused on the end goal: increased income for the lowest income populations in the world. We are tool and sector agnostic. We get involved through financing, policy and business as needed to get to the result. Social enterprise needs a lab to test, fail and pivot — change at this level is incremental. We allow time and space for this while operating efficiently and frugally.

We go deep.

We are committed to solidifying the foundation on which to build a better international ecosystem. We are committed to increased income and better quality of life for a population that has been overlooked by an industry that means well. We know what works— it’s time to get to work.
